Development of a Cognitive Assessment System with Scratch:

The Trail Making Test (TMT) is a common neuropsychological test that assesses selective attention and executive functions used to detect dementia. However, the lacks efficiency due its paper-based format. In this study, we digitally transformed (DX) TMT using Scratch, high-level block-based visual programming language. This user-friendly language allows beginners create advanced games programs. DX-TMT developed, two new tasks, one of which with an increased difficulty level, were added in addition original tasks from TMT. results showed reproduced basic features additional task was associated longer completion time than especially elderly subjects, greater individual differences. These suggest could be utilized for early detection mild cognitive impairment.
